We have lost an amazing couple, folks who were wonderful people to have in your life. Both Jeff and Leanne ran the Hideaway Pub in Salmon Arm the first year Pirana opened there. They were always professional and so very kind to the player's. They will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families, especially Wayne and Leona Taylor avid supports of the Pirana Poker Tour BC. We all are saddened with you and our hearts are breaking for you.

It is with sad news we announce the passing of one of our beloved players in the Lower Mainland.

#2696 Richard Spracklin passed away suddenly on

Sunday Nov 29th in his home.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Tina Spracklin and

the players in the Lower Mainland

We have lost another great player we have all been blessed to know.

A quiet soul, a man of grace and who lead a simple life.

We will remember his smiling face, his quite play,

and his love for Poker.

May the cards be with you at the grand table Richard.

Dorothy Tompkins of Balfour BC, passed away on Thursday July 16th, 2009.

It is with a very heavy and sad heart that I have to announce the news of the passing of my beloved Mother and best friend. She is finally at peace and out of the dreadful pain she has had.

Those of you who were fortunate to meet my mother know that she was a quality woman, strong and full of live even though she was ill for a very long time. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. My daughter wrote this poem in her honor. Please call your Mom's, you never know when the time will come and you will not have the chance.

Though it may be somewhat morbid to say

I’m sort of happy for you Grandma, your pain was taken away

God had looked down on your body so tired from hanging on,
He seen your life was overwhelming you as your eyes were so withdrawn
So he took away the air you breathe and gave you what was best,
A place to be at peace a final place to rest
And now I say you will always be with me in spirit and in mind,

But yet sometimes I feel like I’m going ahead alone and blind

You have been around since the first breath I took,

Now I have to go on without you, I cannot even look

Its said to be that angels are sent from above,

But I’ve always had my angel, Grandma as your heart was filled with love

This I cannot forget therefore my love for you will not be forgone

Though you are no longer with us, your memory will live on

I feel you in the morning when I first awake,

I feel you in the evening as my heart aches

I will not say “Good-bye” Grandma, this is not the end,

I will just say, “So long…” until we meet again!

I love you Grandma!
